PentaHibe by Pharmacosmos

PentaHibe® is a portfolio of cryoprotective formulations with low (1–2%) or no use of DMSO, developed by Pharmacosmos specifically for cell therapies. Each formulation is based on pentaisomaltose—a patented, natural, carbohydrate-based, non-penetrating cryoprotective agent (CPA) that reduces or eliminates the need for DMSO without compromising functionality. 

The PentaHibe® portfolio offers two cGMP-compliant solutions tailored to different cryopreservation needs:
•	PentaHibe® Base – a DMSO-free CPA that can be used on its own or combined with other agents
•	PentaHibe® Complete – a ready-to-use formulation containing 2% DMSO
