Dr. Danai Georgiadou is a stem cell biologist at the Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI), A*STAR, Singapore, where she leads the workstream on primary cell line development for cultivated meat and seafood. Her research focuses on establishing stem and progenitor cell lines from porcine, avian, and crustacean species, and on optimizing bioprocesses for sustainable and scalable cellular agriculture.
With a background in developmental, stem cell and molecular biology, Danai brings expertise in cell engineering, biomaterials, and media innovation. She is also actively involved in global cultivated meat advocacy and science communication, serving as an advisor to Cellular Agriculture Greece and organizing international events, including the ISSCR 2025 Science Spotlight session on cellular agriculture.
