Jianyong Han, PhD & Professor, College of Biological Sciences, China Agricultural University. He overcame the global challenge of establishing stable embryonic stem cell (ESC) lines in livestock including pig, cattle and sheep, established novel culture systems suitable for generation of stable ESC lines which can be passaged for over hundreds of times without any indications of differentiation. Using these cells, his lab also established technical systems to produce ESC-derived cell cultured meat and to generate cloned animal with multiple gene editing. Now, his laboratory's research focuses on cell engineering, such as cell cultured meat, stem cell breeding, and complex disease animal models. His works have been published in Nature, Cell Stem Cell, Cell Research and other international magazines.
