Dr. Kathy Lui is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Pathology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Co-Director of the CAS-CUHK Joint Laboratories for Cardiovascular Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Oxford, focusing on stem cell immunology under Prof. Herman Waldmann, followed by postdoctoral training at Harvard Univerisity with a Croucher Foundation Fellowship. Since establishing her research group in 2014, Dr. Lui has studied disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular repair using stem cells. Her work has earned numerous awards, including the Croucher Innovation Award (2017), NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund (2019), and RGC Research Fellowship (2022). Dr. Lui is also a founding member of the Young Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong.
