Chloe is a PhD Candidate in The Blood Engineering Lab (BEL) at The University of Hong Kong. She obtained her Dual Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology and General Business Management from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. During her undergraduate years, she joined a research project on schizophrenia, where she discovered her interest in neuroscience. She completed her final-year project (undergraduate thesis) in Prof Nancy Ip’s lab studying Alzheimer’s diseases. Subsequently, she worked in Ip’s Lab as a research assistant, focusing on microglia drug screening assays. She is now working on engineering stem cells to produce CAR-microglia for multiple sclerosis therapy and develop brain organoid models for neurological disorders.
