Jeremy Sugarman, MD, MPH, MA is the Harvey M. Meyerhoff Professor of Bioethics & Medicine at the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University. He is internationally recognized as a leader in bioethics with particular expertise in applying empirical methods for evaluating and analyzing bioethical issues. He served on the Maryland Stem Cell Research Commission and is a member of ISSCR’s Ethics and Public Policy Committees. He also co-chairs the Johns Hopkins’ Institutional Stem Cell Research Oversight Committee. Dr. Sugarman is an elected member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation, Association of American Physicians, and the National Academy of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American College of Physicians and the Hastings Center.
