Tenneille Ludwig currently serves as the Director of the WiCell Stem Cell Bank overseeing the banking, distribution and core services operations at WiCell. Dr. Ludwig obtained a Ph.D. from the Univeristy of Wisconsin–Madison in 2001. Her subsequent with Dr. James Thomson (2001-2007) resulted in the first defined, feeder-independent culture system for human embryonic stem cells (TeSR/mTeSR). Dr. Ludwig's current work focuses on development of standards for hPSC use in research and clinical applications, and working with investigators to support the advancement of stem cell technologies through clinical trial. She currenlty serves as Vice-Chair of the ISSCR Manufacturing, Clinical Translation and Regulatory Committee, and is a member of the ISSCR Board of Directors.
