Dr. Lap Hang Tse obtained her BSc from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and her PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She undertook postdoctoral training at the University of Oxford and has since returned to HKU as a postdoctoral fellow.
Her doctoral study focused on delineating the signaling pathways of G-protein-coupled receptors and their receptor-receptor interactions. During her time in Oxford, she used proteomics to identify interacting clusters of an ACVR1 receptor disease mutant and facilitated the discovery of drug targets against fibrodysplasia ossificans progressive and diffuse midline glioma. With a rising interest in omics approaches, she is now exploring gene regulation at HKU through omics analysis using computational models and experimental validation to enhance understanding of cellular function mechanisms.
