PI of the Regenerative Metabolism Lab at the Institute of Zoology, CAS. His lab is focused on advanced technologies such as spatial metabolomics, the metabolic programming during stem cell differentiation, pregnancy-related regeneration, and metabolic diseases such as pre-eclampsia and sarcopenic obesity. He has published ~70 papers in journals such as Science, Cell, Cell Stem Cell, Nature Medicine, and Cell Research, with ~12000 citations. He has won several accolades, including the VcanBio Prize, CAS Scientist of the Year, and Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) International Scholar. He serves on the IOZ academic advisory council, and editorial boards of Cell Proliferation and Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle. He graduated with an A.B. (highest honors) from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. from Harvard Medical School.
