Sarah Saietz is a Danish stem cell researcher specializing in regenerative medicine. As a PhD candidate at Karolinska Institutet, she is developing cGMP-compliant retinal therapies using human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) to restore vision in patients with degenerative retinopathies. At Vecura – Karolinska Cell Therapy Centre, Sarah leads work on in-use stability and dose formulation for CellThRPE1, an allogeneic hESC-RPE advanced therapy product for geographic atrophy.
With a Master’s in Human Biology from the University of Copenhagen, she has worked on various projects related to neural and retinal cell differentiation. Sarah is also a member of the ISCT Process Development and Manufacturing Committee and writes for EuroGCT, making science more accessible. She is dedicated to translating research into real-world therapies.
