Bruno Ghirotto is a final-year Ph.D. candidate in Neuroscience at Friedrich Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and the International Max Planck Research School for Physics and Medicine, Germany. He holds a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences and an M.Sc. in Immunology from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. His expertise spans neuroimmunology, metabolism, bioinformatics, and iPSC-based disease modeling. His current research applies multiomics and functional assays to elucidate the mechanistic role of alpha-synuclein in the enteric nervous system using patient-derived iPSC models of Parkinson’s disease. Bruno has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in these areas and is currently training to become an independent researcher, with a strong interest in translational applications and therapeutic development.
