Dr. Dong-Wook Kim is a Professor at Yonsei University College of Medicine, Korea, and serves as the CTO of S.Biomedics. He received his B.Sc. in 1986 from Korea University, and earned his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of Tokyo in 1996.
From 1997 to 2001, Dr. Kim worked at Yale University. He subsequently joined Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital as a junior faculty member in 2001, where he focused on neural differentiation using embryonic stem cells. In 2003, he joined the Dept. of Physiology at Yonsei University as a faculty member.
Dr. Kim served as the Director of the Korean Stem Cell Research Center starting in 2006. He has represented Korea on several committees of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR).
