Dr. Lily Guo, MD, MSc, PhD, is a Research Associate at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Sinai Health System, in Toronto, Canada. She specializes in stem cell and gene therapy. Her research focuses on respiratory diseases and diabetes, with a particular emphasis on age-related disorders. She has led studies to develop approaches for engineering therapeutic cells through interrupted reprogramming and FailSafe™ and immune evasive cell systems, bridging fundamental research with translational research applications.
Dr. Guo’s current work explores regenerative and rejuvenation factors for treating age-related diseases, focusing on improving therapeutic efficacy and longevity. At the conference, she will present a novel cell and gene combination therapy approach that harnesses the regenerative properties of GDF11 in age-related pulmonary fibrosis.
