Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium
I am PhD candidate based in Belgium, originally from Egypt, with a background in cancer biology and molecular oncology. My research focuses on the mechanisms of tumor progression and therapeutic resistance, with a particular interest in translational approaches that bridge fundamental science and clinical relevance. Beyond the lab, I am passionate about science outreach and mentoring, often engaging with younger students and peers to foster interest in biomedical research. In this year's edition of the ISSCR, I will share key insights from my latest study, highlighting novel findings with potential implications for breast cancer therapy - bridging the parallels between oncology and developmental biology.
