Mee-Hae Kim is an Associate Professor in Department of Biotechnology, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University since 2016, being the leader in the field of stem cell bioprocessing for cellular therapy products. Her award and honors include a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) postdoctoral fellowship in 2008, The 2nd International Symposium of Materials on Regenerative Medicine (ISOMRM) Young Investigator Award (YIA) in 2012, The 11th Congress of the Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine, The Johnson & Johnson Global Career Award in 2012 and The Society for Biotechnology, Japan, The 38th Terui Award in 2015. Her research is focused on development of novel cell and tissue culturing strategies for enhancing stem cell-based research and therapy.
