Dr. Andres Bratt-Leal is the Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Aspen Neuroscience, a San Diego-based biotechnology company pioneering autologous induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) therapies for Parkinson’s disease. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University and a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington. Dr. Bratt-Leal previously served as Director of Research and Development at the Summit for Stem Cell Foundation and conducted postdoctoral research in Dr. Jeanne Loring’s lab, where he contributed to the development of iPSC-derived dopaminergic neuron technologies that form the foundation of Aspen’s therapeutic platform. His work focuses on developing and characterizing patient-specific cells for clinical application. Dr. Bratt-Leal is also an inventor on multiple patents related to iPSC differentiation and quality control methodologies.
