Westlake University, China
Dr. Bing Zhang received his bachelor’s degree from Shandong University in 2007 and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University in 2015. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology between 2015 and 2020, studying skin stem cells and regeneration. Dr. Zhang is a principal investigator of Westlake University from September 2020.
Our research focus is to study
1. The mechanism and function of nerve–stem cell interactions in skin;
2. How stress influence stem cell behaviors and tissue regeneration;
3. Mechanisms of mammalian skin and hair regeneration.
