The Francis Crick Institute, United Kingdom
Tommy earned his PhD (Developmental and Stem Cell Biology) from Imperial College London in 2020, then moved to the Francis Crick Institute for his postdoctoral training. In 2023, Tommy was awarded a Wellcome Early Career Award for his collaborative research between the Francis Crick Institute and University College London (UCL). His research is focused on understanding how metabolism regulates cellular properties and influences cell fate decisions during development. Recently, his work has expanded to exploring how metabolic perturbations during development can have lasting effects on health and disease susceptibility in adulthood.
