Multus Biotechnology Limited, United Kingdom
Cai Linton is Co-founder and CEO of Multus, a UK-based company developing next-generation growth media to enable scalable biomanufacturing across cell therapy, cellular agriculture, and biomaterials. With a background in molecular bioengineering from Imperial College London, Cai founded Multus to address one of the key barriers to scale: the cost, performance, and reliability of cell culture media.
Multus combines machine learning and automation to accelerate the development of animal-free media formulations. The company’s recent launches—Proliferum (an FBS-free supplement) and DMEM/F12-FG (an affordable, food-grade basal media)—demonstrate its commitment to solving upstream challenges in cell-based production.
Cai’s work focuses on building the infrastructure needed to transition cell-based technologies from promising research to global impact—through better tools, data, supply chains, and standards.
