Evan Appleton, Ph.D. is currently Head of Stem Cell Biology / Reprogramming at Colossal. Evan performed his post-doctoral research in the Church Lab at Harvard Medical School in stem cell biology and engineering of multicellular shapes from single cells. He received his doctoral degree from Boston University in Bioinformatics. His expertise includes stem cell biology, synthetic biology, computer aided design, and bioinformatics. Evan is currently working to derive Asian Elephant induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) at Colossal in addition to other expansions in the stem cell/developmental biology space.
