Lika Drakhlis is a PhD student in the research group of Dr. Robert Zweigerdt in the Leibniz Research Laboratories for Biotechnology and Artificial Organs (LEBAO) at Hannover Medical School (MHH), Germany. In her current research, she is using human pluripotent stem cell-derived "heart-forming organoids" (HFOs) to model patterns of early embryonic heart and foregut development as well as congenital heart defects.
