Yuxin Luo obtained her bachelor degree in Basic Medical Science at Sun Yat-sen University. She now is a PhD candidate of obstetrics and gynecology under the supervision of Yang Yu in Peking University Third Hospital, where she focuses on the basic research work of stem cell and is interested in developing new strategies to improve human embryo development, with an emphasis on the establishment of mouse and human blastoids employing stem cells and the exploration of molecular mechanisms in the mammalian embryonic development. She revealed the protein expression landscape and post-translational modifications of mouse blastoids and successfully generated human parthenogenetic blastoids. She also involved in reprogramming mESCs to totipotent-like stem cells using chemical molecules.
